Installation
To begin installation:
- Plug the HDMI cable from your TV/display into the Enplug device.
- If not using Wi-Fi, plug your Ethernet cable into the device.
- Plug the Enplug device into a dedicated power source.
Your device should now begin to boot. After booting, connect the keyboard USB dongle to your device. Connecting the keyboard USB dongle to your device before powering on can prevent a successful boot.
Connecting to WiFi
To connect your device to the Internet:
- After your device successfully boots, you'll see a message reading Press "space" or the "Triangle button.
- You can find the device's MAC address at the bottom of this screen.
- Press the spacebar to open the Network menu.
- Use the arrow keys to navigate the menu.
- Navigate to the desired network and press Enter.
- Enter the corresponding credentials.
When setup is completed, you’ll see a two-word phrase on your screen. Use this to connect the TV/display to your Enplug account.
Linking the Device to Your Account

- Follow these steps to link the device to new content.
Accessing Device Settings
You can use the USB keyboard to access the device settings menu. From there, you can edit Network and Display options.
To access device settings:
- Plug in the USB keyboard .
- Your screen will show a Starting up... message.
- Immediately press Alt + Esc on the keyboard to open the Settings menu.
- When the menu appears, navigate to the desired settings.
Note: If the Settings menu times out and begins to load the Enplug OS, press Esc to return.
Pairing NVIDIA Remote to your Device
Your device comes with an optional remote. If you choose to use the remote, ensure the SHIELD homes screen is visible on your TV/display and follow these steps:
- Hold the SHIELD remote within one foot of your SHIELD TV.
- If pairing a new remote, press and hold Select on your remote until the remote light flashes. If your remote has been paired to a different SHIELD TV, press and hold Home and Back until the remote light flashes.
- The remote should connect after a few moments.
If the LED does not flash, pair manually in the Nvidia Shield Device Settings.

- You'll need a USB keyboard for this process.
- If the menu times out and begins to load the Enplug OS, press Esc to return.
- Plug the keyboard dongle into the USB port on your Nvidia Shield Player.
- Once the device has powered on, press Esc once on the keyboard to launch the device settings page.
- Navigate to select Connected Devices.
- Press Enter.
- Navigate to Pair New Device.
- Press Enter.
- When prompted for Bluetooth devices, press O on your remote.
- Nvidia Shield Remote should appear on the screen.
- Navigate to Nvidia Shield Remote.
- Press Enter.
If your remote is connected, but not working, you may need to replace its batteries.
Note: This will require two CR2032 batteries.
