Device Regions and Map

Overview

Assign your display groups to custom-defined geographical regions for easier device management. This advanced feature also allows you to view regions and display groups on an interactive world map.

Create Regions

Assign Display groups to regions for easier content and device management. Watch this video for instructions, or follow the steps below:

1. Select "Accounts" from your "Home" view

2. Select the "Regions" tab

3. Click the "Add a Region" button

4. Name the Region

5. Assign Display Groups to the Region

6. Select "Add Region" to save

7. Return to your account regions page by clicking the back arrow

Create Parent Regions

For even more advanced asset management, assign Regions to Parent Regions. Watch this video for instructions, or follow the steps below:

1. Select the "Regions" tab

2. Click the "New Parent Region" button. 

Note: This option will only be available if you have a Region unassigned to a Parent Region

3. Name the Parent Region

4. Assign Regions to the Parent Region

5. Select "Add Parent Region" to save

Region Map

Now that you have Regions and Parent Regions configured, you can view and edit your regional content and Display Groups on an interactive map.

1. Select the "Regions" tab

2. Click on a Region name

3. The map will open and display Display Groups, Regions, and Parent Regions

  • The map will zoom to fit the selected region on the map
  • The selected region will appear as blue symbols on the map

  • Unselected regions/parent regions will appear as gray symbols on the map

  • Display Groups unassigned to regions will appear as red symbols on the map

4. To change the selected content, click on the Parent Region, Region, or Display Group on the left menu

5. Click on a pin-drop to zoom to the display group

  • Select "Edit" to change the physical location of the device(s)

  • Enter an IP address or Street Address to set location

  • Click "Edit Advanced Settings" to take you to the Display Group page

  • Click "Save Changes" to apply new settings
