Device Regions and Map

Assigning your Display Groups to custom-defined geographical regions improves device management. This advanced feature also allows you to view regions and groups on an interactive world map.

Note: Contact your account manager if you are interested in adding this feature to your account.

Creating Regions

To create a Region:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click on the gear icon in the bottom left to access Settings.
3. Navigate to the Regions tab.
4. Click Add a Region.
5. Name the region.
6. Assign Display Groups to the region.
7.  Click Add Region.

Creating Parent Regions

For more advanced asset management, you can create Parent Regions.

To do so:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click on the gear icon in the bottom left to access Settings.
3. Navigate to the Regions tab.
4. Click New Parent Region. 
5. Name the Parent Region.
6. Assign regions to the Parent Region.
7. Click Add Parent Region.

Removing a Region

To remove your Display Group(s) from a Region:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click on the gear icon in the bottom left to access Settings.
3. Navigate to the Regions tab.
4. Click on the Region you'd like to remove the Display Group(s) from.
5. Hover over the Region name and click Edit.
6. Under Assigned Display Group, unselect the group(s) you'd like to remove.
7. Click Save.

Note: You must have at least one Display Group per Region. If you'd like to remove all groups from a Region, you'll need to delete it completely.

Region Map

Once Regions and Parent Regions are configured, you can view and edit regional content and Display Groups on an interactive map.

To do so:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click on the gear icon in the bottom left to access Settings.
3. Navigate to the Regions tab.
4. Click on the desired region.
5. This will prompt a map containing Display Groups, Regions, and Parent Regions.

• The map will zoom to fit the selected region
• The selected region will appear as blue symbols
• Unselected regions/parent regions will appear as gray symbols
• Display Groups unassigned to regions will appear as red symbols

To change the selected content, click on a different Parent Region, Region, or Display Group in the left side menu.

Click on a Display Group's pin-drop to make edits:

• Select Edit to change the physical location of the device(s).
• Enter an IP Address or Street Address to set a location.
• Click Edit Advanced Settings to take you to the Display Group's page.
• After making any desired edits, click Save Changes.
