This feature adds an extra layer of security by implementing an additional requirement to login using a security code sent to either your mobile device or an authenticator app.
Setting up Two-Factor Authentication:
- Log into Enplug.
- Click My Account.
- If you're not on the home page, click your user icon in the upper right corner to access My Account.
- You'll be automatically routed to the General tab.
- Navigate to the Users tab.
- This can only be done with one user at a time.
- Click on a user's name to be directed to their Profile page.
- Navigate to the the Security tab.
- Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
Note: To disable, open the desired user's security settings and click Disable Two-Factor Authentication.
Sending & Receiving a Security Code:
There are two ways to receive a security code:
- Use text messages: This option will prompt you to input your phone number and a security code. Click Send Code after entering the requested information.
- Use a mobile app: This will prompt you to either scan the code from your mobile device (authenticator app) or manually enter a code.
Logging In
If you've enabled two-factor authentication via Use text messages, you'll receive a text message containing the security code.
If you've enabled two-factor authentication via Use a mobile app, you'll use the code from the authenticator app to verify and log in.
Note: If you don't have access to the account's primary and backup phone numbers, a recovery code will be needed to log in. Using a recovery code will disable two-factor authentication.
