Two-Factor Authentication

This feature adds an extra layer of security for your login by adding an additional requirement to log in using a security code sent to either your mobile device or an authenticator app.

Setting up Two-Factor Authentication:

  1. Log into the Enplug dashboard at https://dashboard.enplug.com, and click My Account. (Note: If you're not on the home page, click your user icon in the upper right corner - the My Account button is easily accessible here).
  2. You'll be automatically routed to the General tab. Click the Users tab to view your users information. You can only click on 1 user at a time when setting this up.
  3. Once you click on the users name, you will be directed to their Profile page. From here you will click on the Security tab that is shown below.

On the Security tab, you will find the options to change your password as well as the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button. The option to change your password will be available for your own username only and the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button will only be clickable for your own username as well.

Click the blue "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button to set up two-factor authentication. You will see the following images instructing you on how to proceed with enabling this feature.

You have 2 options on how to receive your security code. You can select to receive the code by text message or mobile app.

Upon selecting the "Use text messages" option, you will be prompted to input your phone number and a security code. Click the "Send Code" link when you've entered your phone number to receive a security code to input.

If you have selected the "Use a mobile app" option, you will be given 2 options to set up two-factor authentication for your account using the authenticator app.

The first option would be to scan the code from your mobile device when using the authenticator app. Simply point the camera on your mobile device to the barcode to scan it.

The second option would be to enter a code manually as shown below.

Once you have set up and enabled Two-Factor Authentication, you can view and edit your saved two-factor authentication settings. Go to your users profile, and click on the Security tab. Upon clicking the "Click to View" link, you will be prompted to input your password to view your current settings.

Once your password has been accepted, you are able to view the current information entered for your account.

To disable Two-Factor Authentication, simply click on the "Disable Two-Factor Authentication" button on the lower half of the screen.

You will be prompted to enter your password to do so.

If you have enabled two-factor authentication with the "Use text messages" option, you will receive a code via text message to your mobile phone upon reaching this login page which can be used to verify your identity to log in.

If you do not have access to the primary and backup phone numbers, you can use recovery code to verify and log in. Please note that using the recovery code will disable the two-factor authentication settings that you have saved under your username.

If you have enabled two-factor authentication with the "Use a mobile app" option, you can use the code from the authenticator app to verify and log in.
