You'll use the HDMI Passthrough app on your BrightSign device running Enplug to get content from other apps and a second input source.
Requirements
- To use the HDMI Passthrough app, you must have a BrightSign XT1144 model device running Enplug. Reference the Using Enplug on BrightSign Players article for more information.
- You'll have to connect the BrightSign device to a TV/monitor using the HDMI-Out port and connect your passthrough content using the HDMI-In port.
- Before running the HDMI Passthrough App, you must have your BrightSign device provisioned and set up with Enplug. There are two ways of doing so: BSN Cloud & SD Card.
Via BSN Cloud:
- Login into BrightSign's BSN Cloud.
- Complete setup of BrightSign Player.
- After completing, you'll see Enplug's two-word setup phrase on your display screen.
Via SD Card:
- Download the Enplug Autorun File and load onto a blank Micro SD card.
- Insert the Micro SD card into your BrightSign XT1144 device.
- Reboot your BrightSign device and wait for Enplug's two-word setup phrase to appear on your display screen.
Connecting a BrightSign Device to a Display Group
Once you have the two-word setup phrase, you can connect to a Display Group(s) on your Enplug account.
If you haven't created a Display Group, see our article on how to Link a Device and Add New Content.
If you have a Display Group and content created, reference this article to Link a Device to Existing Apps & Content.
