The Templates List View allows you to insert custom-defined lists or tables into your Template. This works differently than other Templates features as it links multiple lines of data to your template to view on a single sign.
Adding List View to Canvas
To add list view to a canvas:
- Login to Enplug.
- Navigate to the desired canvas in the Templates app.
- Click List View in the lower left corner.
- Click Continue.
- You'll be prompted to link your Data Source (see the section below) and Edit Layout.
Adding a Data Source
To connect data to your List View, you'll upload an existing spreadsheet, linking an API data source, or create a new spreadsheet from scratch.
Note: For more information on connecting an API data source, reference this article.
To connect existing data:
- Follow the steps above and click Data Source.
- Click Connect Data.
- Click Upload Spreadsheet.
- Select the desired file (.xlsx, .xls, .csv) from your computer.
- Click Save.
To connect by creating a new spreadsheet:
- Follow the steps above and click Data Source.
- Click Connect Data.
- Click Start with Empty Spreadsheet.
- Enter desired information and adjust/edit the spreadsheet accordingly.
- Once completed, click Save.
Editing List View Layout
You can customize text, shapes, images, and more to use in the layout.
To do so, return to your canvas and, from the List View, click Edit Layout. From here, you'll select to edit the HEADER SECTION or CONTENT SECTION.
Using the layout editor, you can:
- Change the font or color for text.
- Change the color of shapes.
- Change background by inserting an image or shape.
- Change the size of the header or content section by dragging the sides bigger or smaller.
- Adjust the slider between the header or content sections to make them bigger or smaller.
- Choose to disable or enable the header.
- Enable the dark background guide to manage the content easier when working with light-colored fonts.
Linking Data Source to List View
After completing the step above, you are can link your a data source to the elements of your List View.
To do so:
- Return to the Edit Layout menu and click the chain icon labeled Link data.
- Link Available Elements with a Data Source.
- Select desired filtering.
- Click Confirm.
Once your list view has been created/edited accordingly, you'll return to My Signs or My Templates. Click the TV icon under Displays. Select the Display Group(s) you'd like the app sent to and click Save Changes.
