Enabling your first app

Great! So you've got your device connected to your TV, your first display group created and your display connected to your account. Your display is showing "Ready to Play" - now how do you get started with your first app?

This article will walk you through the process of setting up and enabling your first app - in this case, Graphics & Video. (See a more in-depth introduction to the Graphics app in the Graphics article.)

  1. First, we'll go to the Displays dropdown to select the display group we want the app associated with.

In this case, it will be the Narnia display group.

  2. Next, we'll go to the Apps dropdown to choose our app.

Because Graphics and Video isn't yet enabled, we'll click the More Apps section to find and select it.

  3. Now that we're in the app, we'll upload a picture and a PowerPoint.

  4. We want to set up our content to appear at a certain time. Clicking on "Edit details" when hovering over the graphic from the library brings up these options; Click on the Scheduling tab. For the example, I will set it to show on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.

  5. Finally, we'll choose the display groups we want this graphic to show up on from the Display Groups tab. Once we choose these and save our changes, the graphics will start playing on those screens.

In the case that you want to upload the graphic but haven't decided where to display it yet, you can also decline to choose any display groups - this will store the graphic in your Library for later access.
