Menu Board: Adding Products to a Canvas

There are several ways to add products to a Canvas in the Menu Board app.

You can add products one at a time or in bulk directly from the Menu Board. This allows you to review all available items in the Product Library and customize order accordingly. Products can be brought in from a Point-of-Sale Integration, added manually, or imported via a CSV document.

Individually or from a List

Note: Since items are individually selected, you’ll need to manually add or delete products whenever your menu changes (unless being pulled via POS Integration).

To launch your Menu Board:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click the Apps drop-down in the top menu.
3. Under All Apps Open the Menu Board app.
4. Add a new or open a previously created menu.

To add items from your Product Library (not a POS Integration):

1. Click the book icon labeled Add products in the top menu bar.
2. Use the checkboxes in the Product Library to select the desired product(s).
3. Choose Add as a single product or Add as list of products.
4. Once added, hover over the product and click the pencil icon labeled Edit layout.
5. Format data accordingly.
6. Click Save.

Dynamic Product List

If your data is coming from a Point-of-Sale integration, you can add products using a Dynamic Product List. This option can be used to filter data by a category (drinks, lunch, etc.).

If new products are added to your integration data source, and tagged with a corresponding category, they’ll automatically appear in that portion of the menu.

Note: As this is a dynamic list of data, you can’t adjust the order of the items as they appear in this list.

To add products via Dynamic Product List:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click the Apps drop-down in the top menu.
3. Open the Menu Board app.
4. Add a new menu or open a previously created menu.
5. Click the lightning icon labeled Add dynamic products from an integration.
6. Use the Source drop-down to select the desired integration.
7. Using the Filtering drop-downs to select Category and Value.
8. Click Add if you’d like to add additional filters.
9. Once completed, click Done.
10. Once added, hover over the product and click the pencil icon labeled Edit layout.
11. Format data accordingly.
12. Click Save.

Dynamic Product List Combined with Filter by Location Feature

This method can be used when you’d like product order and data filtered by location. This lets you control the order of items and automatically adjusts pricing for each location.

Note: If a new product is needed on the menu, you’ll need to add a dynamic list for that specific item.

To add products using location data:

1. Log into Enplug.
2. Click the Apps drop-down in the top menu.
3. Open the Menu Board app.
4. Open the desired menu/template.
5. Navigate to the Canvas tab in the right side menu.

6. Under Select Location, check the Activate location id box.
7. Use the Integrations drop-down to select your configured integration.
8. Use Locations drop-down to select desired location.

9. Adjust menu/items as desired.
10. Click Save.
