Can I use an HDMI matrix or paneled video wall with my Enplug device?

While setting up your Enplug device(s), you may want to use third-party HDMI hardware to diversify the appearance of your screens. Two of the most popular hardware options are HDMI matrixes or splitters, and paneled video walls, described below:

  • A video wall is a special multi-monitor setup that consists of multiple computer monitors, video projectors, or television sets tiled together contiguously or overlapped in order to form one large screen.

  • Matrix switchers route multiple video sources to multiple video destinations.
  • HDMI splitters are used to divide the signal coming from one HDMI input between two or more HDMI outputs.

Your Enplug device should work with a video matrix that meets the following specifications:

  • HDMI input
  • Supports 1920x1080/60 or 1280x720/60

Note: We cannot guarantee compatibility with untested 3rd party hardware. Please contact support if you are having any difficulty with matrix setup.

Enplug Tip: Make sure to check that all of the components in your AV setup meet the requirements above; e.g. if you have multiple devices in your configuration, like a matrix connected to a splitter or multiple matrices connected together, check these for compatibility as well.

If you're unsure how to install and configure your HDMI setup, we would recommend contacting the company Adaptive Technologies Group - they can do custom projects to help set up any type of video wall or HDMI hardware you may need, and they have done testing with Enplug devices.
