How can I set the Operating Hours for my account? – Enplug Support Center

Overview

You can manage your display's operation hours using the Enplug Operating Hours manager. The Enplug Device 4K supports HDMI-CEC and RS232 control. The legacy device supports RS232.

Contact your Account Manager if you are interested in adding this Enterprise feature to your account.

Requirements:

For Enplug Device 4K only (not available for Legacy devices, Windows, or Web Players).
The TV must support HDMI-CEC (or equivalent).

Setup:

Enable opening hours on your Display Group.
- 1. Select the "Display Groups" dropdown.
  2. Choose your desired Display Group.
  3. Select the "Operating Hours" tab on the left. (If you don't see this option contact your Account Manager to request information about adding the feature to your account.)
  4. Set your operating hours.
  5. Click "Save".
Make sure RS232 is disabled.
- 1. Select the "Content" tab.
  2. Select the Display Name.
  3. Make sure "Enable Rs232" is unselected.
Ensure that your TV has the HDMI-CEC (or equivalent) feature enabled.

RS232

This feature requires additional hardware.

Requirements:

For Enplug devices only (not available for Windows or Web Players).
Use an Enplug Certified screen (see below for a full list).
Connect a PL-2303 chipset USB<->RS-232 cable + Null Modem from your Enplug Certified screen to the Enplug device. The following components are verified as compatible:

    NOTE: If your display has a 3.5mm RS232C port, you will need one additional cable: DB9 Female to 3.5mm Serial Cable (can be found on Amazon)

Setup:

Enable opening hours on your Display Group.
- 1. Select the "Display Groups" dropdown.
  2. Choose your desired Display Group.
  3. Select the "Operating Hours" tab on the left. (If you don't see this option contact your Account Manager to request information about adding the feature to your account.)
  4. Set your operating hours.
  5. Click "Save".
Make sure RS232 is enabled.
- 1. Select the "Content" tab.
  2. Select the Display Name.
  3. Make sure "Enable Rs232" is selected.
  4. Select your TV model from the dropdown.
  5. Click "Save".

Congratulations! Your display will now automatically turn on/off according to these hours. Contact Support if you have any questions!
